Building a house for your chickens doesn’t need to be such a mammoth task. Owners of poultry had two options. They could either decide to purchase a brand new coop from a retailer, which could span into thousands of dollars. Of course, if they were a DIY expert they could try and build their coop alone. Most of us are not DIY experts though, which means the second option is out of the window. In fact, unless you have deep pockets, the second option will also be thrown straight out of the window. There is a third option though, which is to try and find plans for chicken coops.

Plans for chicken coops are something that is becoming ever more popular. The materials can be purchased on an inexpensive basis, which means you can have a coop up and running for the sake of $ 200 or so. Of course, you will have to actually build the coop yourself, but that shouldn’t be more than a weekend or so of work.

The plans for chicken coops are extremely easy to find. Pop a quick search into Google and you’ll have a range of 5-10 different plans at your fingertips. Of course, they do cost money, but they are well worth the initial investment. Remember you will be paying for exactly what you get, so just because plans are $ 5.00 doesn’t mean they’ll fulfill your needs. You’ll be better off spending the extra cost on a decent set of plans in the first place to avoid disappointment.
